I've raised £2000 to help the start the restoration of the oldest steam roller in Britain. No 1760 is an R10 roller dating from 1882. This roller is history!
Organised by Tom Hodgkinson
This unique engine has never been in steam since the birth of the steam rally scene started in the early 1950s.
The engine helped build the M1 alongside more modern equipment.
The engine has been owned since 1986, but the money has not been their to begin the extensive work that needs to be undertaken.
All work will be carried out in traditional ways and the goal is to rally and show the engine and not to be sold to make profit.
Thank you for any donations.
