    Story

The Campaign is to raise funds for children at Hands of Hope Community (HHC) which is a school and home based care for children and young people with intellectual disabilities(ID) and Autism. These children are the most marginalised people group in Cambodia. It is only in the last 5 years that children with ID are beginning to be recognised and are now beginning to access education. The Majority of children with special needs and Autism are still hidden away and you very rarely see children with ID in the streets. This means parents cannot work and most of these families are very poor. HHC also helps parents whose children attend HHC to start up a business. There are 150 children and young people in the programme and this year it looks likely that it will increase to 200. However HHC do not have enough funds to cover the existing costs. Without the funding HHC would not be able to support these wonderful children and young people and they would not get an education. These children would go back to being hidden away, being hungry and bored and parents would not be able to work therefore resulting in more poverty and isolation for the children. through HHC the profile of children and young people with ID has been raised but their is still a big stigma about children with ID and Autism. Please help HHC to continue the brilliant work they have been doing and donate. Thank you.

The Campaign is to raise funds for:-

    1. Raising profile of children with special needs In Cambodia

    2. Finding children with special needs in the communities who do not attend school.

    3. Food for the children

    4. Staff Salaries

    5. Helping parents start up a business

Disabled and non-disabled children playing and learning together!

    Business training for parents.

Autistic children learning through sensory play.

Caring for families within there communities.

Visiting HHC in 2014 and then 2016 showed so much growth through Jesus. I hope that all the money raised will continue that growth on this new plot of land!

Hello, I am Liz Byles, a program manager for Hands of Hope Community Cambodia (HHC). I am trying my best to help disadvantaged children who without HHC would not have an education, which I believe all children are entitled to. I am doing my best to help this cause.
