Let me introduce you to Mark...

I have had the privilege of getting to know Mark over the last 7 months as his store manager. Mark is one of the most genuine and positive guys I have ever worked with, always looking on the bright side and has an amazing attitude towards life.

Unfortunately 25 years ago Mark had a bad accident resulting in 14 different operations, the last one resulting in him losing his leg in 2016 (November)

After losing his leg Mark openly describes that he suffered from mental health issues as a result; over the last year and a half anxiety and depression have been part of Mark's daily battle. Mark also decided in January this year, for the sake of his mental health, to not depend on a prosthetic leg as that was also causing him pain and instead came to terms with life changing decision use his chair on a daily basis. However, this has not stopped Mark live his live to the full and in the best way he can. He is now enjoying days out with his family and living a life pain free.

Having now overcome all the obstacles over the last few years, he has decided to support others by racing in the 10K in Edinburgh in May which, for me, sums up Mark as a person.

To help Mark achieve his goal I have decided to join forces and complete the 10K alongside him. 👍👍🤜👍🤜

In order for Mark to complete his challenge he needs the proper wheel chair racer and equipment. All sponsor money we receive will help buy this dream race chair for Mark.

Our target is to buy Mark his racing chair at the end of August 👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌 so he can practice on a daily basis.

Any money raised over and above this will go towards Mark’s chosen charity, ‘SAMH' - Scottish Association Mental Health
