Bristol Royal Hospital for Children Scout Group welcome all young people over the age of 6, who are patients of the hospital and their siblings. Sometimes they only attend once, others more frequently, depending upon their reason for being in hospital.

Due to the pandemic, they haven't been able to meet for over a year, but that hasn't stopped their leaders sending packs of activities, to keep the young people entertained.

In normal times , they love a challenge, so try to do pretty much anything any other Scout group does, just in the confines of the hospital. They’ve had camps lasting an hour, where they have put up a tent, packed a bag and shared their leaders' camp blankets and campfire stories. Some of their favourite programs include not surprisingly, first aid, road safety and science.

October 2021 - will be their 20th Birthday!

They try to provide the same Scouting experience as any other Scout group, yet don't collect subs and thus rely entirely upon donations.

Our Cubs will be joining fellow Scout, Max Woosey from Devon, in his campaign Max's Big Camp Out on Saturday 27th March 2021, by camping out in their gardens or inside in their dens, to mark one year of Max’s epic challenge to sleep outside in his friend Rick's tent and "have an adventure".

Max has invited children from around the world to join him and fund raise for a charity of their choice. Our Cubs chose Bristol Royal Hospital for Children Scout Group as a few of our Cubs have been patients of the hospital and are pleased to help their fellow Scouts with their Group's birthday celebrations.
