What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
At school we were given the opportunity to go to Peru for a month where we decide what we do. They give us a budget of 13,000 pounds to spend when we get there. My team wants to spend that money helping the local children have money for books etc. However to go on the trip we must raise 4,000 pounds for the company without the help of our parents. I'm not going to ask for 4,000 as I would like to do some things myself but if you'd like to help then I would be very grateful!
