I've raised £500 to help 2475 (Ammanford) Squadron of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets

2475 (Ammanford) Squadron of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets have been a part of the Amman Valley Community for a number of years. The squadron offers young people from the age of 12 the opportunity to become good citizens whilst developing skills and friendships for life.
Having been a cadet on the squadron for 5 years I have had the opportunity to gain new qualifications, travel to new countries, complete new challenges and develop friendships with a variety of new people. In addition to this, I have been able to volunteer as a staff member on the squadron for the past 2 years.
The dedicated team of volunteers at Ammanford Air Cadets are fantastic but there is a limit to what can be achieved without funding.
All funds for the unit are raised through local grants, fundraising and bag packs in local supermarkets. We currently need a variety of new equipment to help develop the Cadet experience on Ammanford squadron which is why I am fundraising for them.
At 9pm on August 9th, 2019, I will begin to walk in the 50th edition of the ‘Dodentocht’ or ‘Deathmarch’ as it is in English. This event is held annually in Belgium and sees 13,000 marchers begin a challenge to complete a 100km route in 24 hours - Quite the challenge!
I would appreciate any support you can provide in raising funds to develop the cadet experience on 2475 (Ammanford) Squadron of the Air Cadets!
