Story
For the last 2 years 24-7 Prayer Peru has been equipping and inspiring people to pray creatively, missionally, and in unity for the furtherance of the gospel throughout Cusco. We have seen a real hunger and openness to pray and encounter God in ways in which people here are not accustomed. We have been building connections with churches, setting up prayer rooms in various places, from schools to government buildings, and praying with people on the streets. We have witnessed a real sense of freedom as people meet with Jesus in a creative and interactive way.
God has presented 24-7 Peru with an amazing opportunity. We have fostered a close relationship with Corason, a local church that has generously welcomed our family into their community. This church has been blessed with ownership of a mountain in the heart of Cusco, a tranquil and beautiful space overlooking the whole city. They have invited us to construct a mission base and family home on their mountain dedicated to prayer. We are super excited about this vision God is revealing to us.

The mission base and prayer room would serve as a training centre, equipping and enabling churches and communities to pray creatively and create their own prayer rooms through workshops and guided retreats.
As part of the Cusco Pastors Association, we are embedded in the local church and are particularly blessed in our partnership with Corason; the church shares our vision of uniting the churches of Cusco. It has been great to discuss creative ideas for the future of the space. Together we are excited to see where God leads us.
24-7 Prayer aims for sustainability and longevity. We see the mission base on the mountain as representative of this. Firstly, constructing this space will be more cost-efficient in the long-term than purchasing or renting property. The construction will serve as a hub of permanent support for all of Peru. As in other 24-7 communities, we strive for indigenous leadership with the cultural understanding, respect and passion it brings. We see the mission base as the perfect place to build a Peruvian-led team.

The majority of the house and mission base will be built using recycled materials and natural resources from the mountain. We also plan to use solar energy and the mountain’s natural spring water. As well as working on this project ourselves, we will be employing a team from Corason. We aim to have the majority of the construction completed by October.
The main costs will be employing the workers, purchasing construction equipment and materials, installing solar panels, furnishing the interior, and setting up electricity and water supplies. We project that this will cost £35,000 and are aiming to raise at least one third of this amount through JustGiving.
We hope this project excites you and would like to invite you to join us on this journey. Any amount you are able to give would be greatly appreciated. We would also really value your prayers: that the construction process will go smoothly, that the kingdom of God will be extended here in Peru, that people will be inspired to go deeper into the presence of Jesus, that the church will grow in unity, and that this will lead to an increase of mission and justice within this beautiful country and beyond.
