Iʼve raised £2,003 to help refurbish our school library: 24 hours, 3 peaks, 1 library!

    Story

My wonderful secondary school, St Marylebone, is state funded and, despite ten years of government cuts and the last few years of rising costs, still continues to offer excellent educational outcomes. Yet the challenge is getting harder and donations are very much needed to help the school provide all that the students deserve in their education.

In particular St Marylebone's library, which is the heart of our school, needs an urgent upgrade costing over £100,000. Research shows reading for pleasure sparks joy, boosts emotional wellbeing, and strengthens academic achievement – all vital for children's success. That's why I'm taking on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge: 24 hours, 23km up 3 mountain ascents of 3km, for 1 incredible library! My goal is to raise funds to start towards helping transform the library into a vibrant hub, a cozy reading haven, and a space that ignites curiosity and creativity.

Donate today and support my climb: “Three mountains of pain for one mountain of books”.

I thought that you would like to know that I successfully completed The Three Peaks Challenge this weekend. From 4pm on Friday 31st May till 3.15pm on Saturday 1st June I climbed the highest mountains in each of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England ( Scafell Pike) & Wales (Snowdon). That's a walking distance of 37 km, an ascent of 3,064 metres and total driving distance of 462 miles (Dad did that bit!). In completing the challenge, I raised just over £1,700 for St Marylebone School’s Library Campaign. Thank you all for your support and encouragement!
