Story

John Walker and Ray Pharoah, owner of Southern Legion Strength & Conditioning Gym, are raising funds for Sian Reeds; a 16 year old gymnast based in Portsmouth who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive DIPG tumour in 2018.

Sian's zest for life has not prevented her from continuing to do all of the things that she loves, so much so that she has created a bucket list to make memories for her and her family.

Sian's determination has inspired both John and Ray, who have decided to take on the gruelling Murph Workout to raise funds in order to help Sian with her goal.
The Murph workout is a renowned crossfit workout dedicated to Michael Murphy, a Navy Seal who died in Afghanistan.
This challenge is also quite personal to Ray who lost his cousin, Charlie Pharaoh, last year to cancer.

In the next couple of months, John and Ray will be putting in some serious training for the Murph challenge, which will take place in September 2020 (date to be confirmed) and consists of a 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 press ups, 300 squats, followed by another 1 mile run... all while wearing a 10kg weighted vest. The kicker is that this circuit will continue for 24 hours!

Anyone else who would like to take on a few rounds of the workout is more than welcome to do so.

Please show your support for John and Ray by making a donation and be a part of helping Sian to tick off her bucket list!
