Story

Being a non-profit making club, we run on a very tight budget and within this try to offer our members as many opportunities as we can. Like many clubs, the pandemic had a massive impact on this, and it has been a rebuild project for us, since our return to the pool.

We are now also having to face a new challenge like so many, with the cost of living and energy going up. This has put added pressure on us as a club, as we try to keep the training times running without passing on the massive increase we are facing to our families.

Our next fundraising challenge is a big one! A team 24 hour relay mixed in with 400m team relay.

The team 24-hour relay will see our members take it in turns around the clock to complete an hour swim, during this time trying to complete as many lengths as they can. There will be a range of young and old taking part, with at least 2 swimmers in the pool at a time.

The 400m, 24 hour relay will see 10 of our swimmers, complete as many 400m swims as they can during the 24 hour period, taking it in turns around the clock.

Please support us in these challenges and with it support our community swimming club.
