Story

We all have or know of someone that has suffered from some form of Mental Health in our lives no matter what form its takes.

Its a very fine line of being able to hold it together and not and takes some amount of courage to admit or even accept we need help.

I'm one of those people that suffered with my mental health for personal reasons, I found myself on the brink of no return, however I admitted to myself that I wasn't ok and sought the help I needed.

I spent a couple of weeks in the Ross Thompson Unit Coleraine, a place I was very weary of and hated the sound of. However in there I found the help I needed, and I took full advantage of the therapies they offered.

I'm a stronger person now and want to show that there is no stigma associated with mental health and that everyone can get through problems.

My main therapy is training, the Gym it gives me the confidence to realise I'm in control.

Training with Shimie Cunning (SC STRENGTH MIND BODY at Bridge Street Gym) has given me that lift I needed, your not just training muscle, your training a mindset.

So I suggested to him do you fancy doing a 24hr gym workout and raise money for the Ross Thompson Unit. The big man jumped at it and so here we are.

I'm asking for your sponsorship any donation no matter how small will be appreciated as this is a mammoth task and lets give back to our local community and raise awareness that's "its OK not to be Ok.
