Our Civilian Committee Secretary, Caroline Cordeiro, is taking on a rather exciting challenge while she’s in New Zealand — a tandem skydive! This will be to raise funds towards a new minibus for 295 (Witham and Rivenhall) Air Cadets.

The minibus is an essential part of helping cadets access the many opportunities the Air Cadets provides, including camps, flying, community events and activities that develop leadership, teamwork, confidence and life skills.

Sadly, the current minibus is no longer fit for purpose and needs upgrading. A new minibus will make a real difference, not just to the cadets today, but to many young people in the future, helping them take part in experiences and opportunities they might otherwise miss.

Caroline aiming to raise £300 or more as her own small contribution to an organisation that has given so much to her family. The Air Cadets has had a hugely positive impact on her own daughter and son-in-law, who have both gone on to give back as adult volunteers. This skydive is Caroline’s little way of saying thank you and helping ensure future cadets can benefit in the same way.

Every donation, however big or small, will help provide new opportunities, experiences and memories for young people in our community.
