Our college class are funding a residential trip. To raise money for this both Lydia Abdy and myself (Ashleigh Jayne Duncan) are going to swim 80 laps (2 miles) to raise money to fund our trip. We also have decided to split half the money raised towards a charity of our choice .

We have decided to split half the money we raise towards the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation, which is a charity run by two Parents who lost their daughter Lauren due to Wegener’s Granulomatosis (now called Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis) back in October of 2010 at the age of 15. The Charity raises vital awareness throughout the United Kingdom, as well as producing guidance and support materials for patients with all forms of Vasculitis. It also funds guidance for health professionals, delivers national support groups and funds scientific research.
