    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.

    Story

At 2nd Portishead we inherited an old school dining hall from the 60's of which we have been using it for the last 20+ years and is in some need of modernising.

Through previous fundraising, donations and savings we are currently seeing our HQ roof being replaced of its asbestos panels for modern composite panels with insulation. Not only were we suffering from leaks into the building but we were also losing a lot of heat through the walls and to help battle this we are now looking to raise funds to add external cladding along with double glazed windows and central heating.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated and as a local volunteer group providing life changing and rewarding experiences to boys & girls aged between 6 & 14 we struggle to achieve the large volumes of money required to carry out work like this and would take a lifetime to even get close so all we ask is for you help with what you feel is worth helping these children have fun!

Thank you from all of the team at 2nd Portishead Scout Group.
