I've raised £500 to Fundraise for Drylaw Rainbow Club Day Centre a group providing Day Care for older people within the North West of Edinburgh area.

Welcome to our fundraising page for running the Loch Ness Marathon on 3rd October. To introduce ourselves we are Emma and Claire friends since high school.
We are fundraising for Drylaw Rainbow Club Day Centre. The group provides Day Care for older people in the North West area of Edinburgh, to promote their welfare. The centre provides Lunch clubs and day services for people over 65, including people with dementia. Carer short breaks and respite day care.
The centre has also served clients and their families for over three decades, and during Covid-19, they provided food, shopping and support to older and vulnerable people.
During January and working from home Claire’s average step count was 348 steps a day much to Emma’s horror.
As a new year resolution Claire/Emma did the bodycoach plan January > March to increase their fitness.
In true Emma style at the start of April she needed a new challenge and her Eureka moment came listening to Chris Evans who said on the radio everyone is capable of running a marathon.
Emma/Claire signed up for couch to 5k in April and moved on to the Chris Evans book 119 days to go and began marathon training.
So here we are asking for your kind donations for a worthy cause from the two least likely people to run a marathon.
Couch to 42k has a ring to it and may even be the book title of best selling authors.
Lots of love
Claire & Emma xx
