Story

I was born in Shatila Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, I witnessed the Sabara and Shatila massacres in 1982 and the reconstruction of the camp. My surviving family members are still living in Shatila camp and September 15th to 23rd 2018 will mark the 36 commemoration of the Sabra and Shatila massacres which was committed by the Israelis using local mercenary forces.

We are planning to bring a delegation from the UK to show the residents of the camps, who have never got justice, that they have not been forgotten. We will bring live Arabic music and exchange stories with the residents of the camps, who are refugees since 1948 and maintain the connection between different Palestinian diaspora communities, refreshing memories of the homeland and strengthen cultural identity.
