Anyone who knows me personally is aware that just before Christmas my brother was diagnosed with colon cancer, as bad timing this was for us as a family it is even worse for my brother and his girlfriend Kate as they are expecting their first child in February. Due to the tumour being so large my brother will be having 5 weeks of radiotherapy in 5 days to shrink it, although this is harsh on the body; with him being young his body should be able to take it and then the chemo can then start. It's obvious that this will take a toll on my brother so Kate has decided to bring the pregnancy forward by having a C section so Liam can be there for the birth of his child before the chemo starts. Times after this are not going to be easy with Liam starting chemo and Kate now having a baby to take care of, with both of them being off work they both are going to struggle financially aswell. As a family we are going to help in every way possible so I'm going to hopefully raise some money by doing the 3 peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 2/3 days, I'm going to start this on the 29th January so I've got now until then to prepare and hopefully collect as much money as I can.
