Story

On 29 May 2021, my sister and I are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge! This includes summiting the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, a total walking distance of 23 miles, accent of over 3064 meters and driving distance of 462+ miles... all in 24 hours. An extreme mental and physical challenge to raise funds for a cause that is very important to me and many others - humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

Three Peaks for Palestine

For each of the three Peaks we have dedicated to one charitable organisation providing critical humanitarian action and emergency relief to the people of Palestine, we are also raising funds and awareness for an incredible grassroots organisation which represents hope and optimism for the new generation providing access to grants for other valuable grassroots community associations in the region.

Donations from this fundraiser will be divided between the following three selected charities who deliver invaluable work for both Palestinians in occupied territories and the Palestinian diaspora.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP Charity)

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.

MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

The charities programmes provide access to essential health services and build local knowledge and skills to address local health problems. In times of humanitarian emergency, they are ready to respond rapidly with aid and assistance.

MAP is also committed to bearing witness to the injustices caused by occupation, displacement and conflict. MAP speak out in the UK and internationally to ensure the political and social barriers to Palestinian health and dignity are addressed.

Hoping Foundation

Hoping stands for Hope and Optimism for Palestinians in the Next Generation. Supporting Palestinian children is a real catalyst for change. Young Palestinian refugees need the simple chances and ordinary possibilities that can offer them creative solutions to their lives. The most important thing we can do is to help generate these possibilities, giving them a belief in the promise of a better future.

We want to show young Palestinians that their struggle to transform their lives is encouraged and supported by the people in Britain and throughout the rest of the world.”
