I've raised £5000 to support HCPT Groups 25, 53 & 710. Donations will provide opportunities for disabled & disadvantaged young people to travel to Lourdes.

What an incredible challenge for such an amazing cause! Thank you to all those who have volunteered to take this on.
Since 1956, HCPT has offered life-changing week-long pilgrimage holidays to Lourdes, France, for disabled and disadvantaged people. HCPT is a charity with its roots in the Catholic faith. We have a vision of "changing lives through pilgrimage, sharing God's gifts of love, friendship and joy". People come from all walks of life, and from all faiths and none.
Such holidays are with small groups, called Family Groups. GROUP 25 and GROUP 53 are both established groups within the North East Region. Ran by dedicated helpers, and medical professional, these groups rely on volunteers who dedicate their time to support, care and work with young people and their families. For many, it could be the first time away from home, the first time abroad or the first time they can be independent. For their families, it can be respite for them. A time to recharge, rest and spend time with each other, knowing their loved ones are in the most incredible place, with the most amazing people around them.
Fundraising is vitally important for this work to continue. Your donations will ensure that these family groups can offer places to families and offer a fantastic opportunity to travel with such an amazing group of people.
HCPT Group 710 are a service group based in the North East Region but work across the whole HCPT Trust. This group is formed by helpers (over the age of 18) who support family groups and the organisation both before, and during, the pilgrimage. Your donations will help enable them to continue their important role.
