Weʼre raising £2,000 to help make a difference to so many great causes by completing the National Three Peaks Challenge

Scotland, England, Wales

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

As a group we are going to attempt to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge involving a climb to the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales.

The challenge is 23-miles in three stages, with a total ascent of 3064 metres. To put this in perspective, we'll be climbing a height approximately one third the height of Mount Everest!!

It will be a tough challenge and there is a real possibility we might not complete it so we'll need all the support and luck we can get.

The team completing the challenge is Sam Harrison, Stephen Vejins, Ryan McKinnon, Chris Govin, Chris Slater and Pete Jameson.

We are going to raise as much money as we can for all of our chosen charities. Any donation that you make will be greatly appreciated and will go towards helping some very worthwhile, important causes.

Our chosen charities are:

Sam Harrison - The Alzheimer's Society

Stephen Vejins - Cancer Research UK

Ryan McKinnon - Willow Burn Hospice

Well we did it!! I’m happy to say that we completed the challenge in 23 hours 36 minutes. Nothing like cutting it fine. It was tough, it was hot and it tested our limits more than anything we’ve ever done but we pooled together to work brilliantly as a team. There was no negativity, constant support and non-stop encouragement from one another. I’m over the moon to say we’ve raised over £1500 so far and hope to get over the £2000 goal. Thanks for all your donations and support, they are greatly appreciated!
