Story

4Georgia: Move together. Support Georgia.

At just 24, Georgia is facing another devastating health crisis after fighting incredibly hard to rebuild her life following a spinal cord injury.

4Georgia is a workout anyone can take part in, wherever you are. Join us on Saturday 24 October 2026, organise it at your own gym, or complete it with friends in your own time. There are versions for different abilities and equipment, so everyone can get involved.

All we ask is a small donation, whatever you can comfortably give, to help Georgia access specialist care.

Our initial target is £600 towards a first private specialist neurological assessment. This is an estimated cost, pending a confirmed quote. Funds raised will support Georgia and her family in accessing specialist care, with any additional funds going towards further investigations and rehabilitation.

Georgia explains why this matters in her own words:

“I’m doing something I never thought I’d have to do, asking for help.

At just 24, I’m facing another incredibly uncertain chapter of my life and a fight for my life.

After everything I’ve already fought through, I had finally found my way back to a life I loved after a spinal cord injury. I learnt to walk again. I took my first steps after 3.5 years. I travelled the world, got back in the ocean, became a Divemaster and started daring to dream about what my future could look like.

Then, after becoming unwell two months ago, everything changed again.

I’ve spent 7.5 weeks in hospital fighting to stay stable while doctors try to understand what is happening to my brain and spinal cord. I’ve experienced paralysis, seizures, being ventilated and critically ill, and losing abilities I had fought so hard to regain.

And the hardest part is that we still don’t have the answers.

I’m incredibly grateful for the NHS and everyone who has cared for me, but right now I’m struggling to get the specialist support I need. I’ve been told there isn’t much more they can do for me here, but I’m not ready to accept that as the end of my story.

I know my body has fought its way back before. I know there is more life ahead of me. And I want the chance to fight for it.

We’re raising money to help me access a private specialist who can look at the bigger picture, investigate the complex neurological problems I’m experiencing, and hopefully find the answers we desperately need. The funds will also help towards specialist rehabilitation and the long journey ahead of me.

I’m not asking for money to make my life perfect.

I’m asking for the opportunity to find out what is wrong, to get the right treatment, and to give myself the best possible chance of taking those first steps and getting my life back.

Because I’ve taken them before. And I want to take them again.

This is not where my story ends.”
