I've raised £3000 to move the last surviving 4-SUB unit, 4732, to secure covered accommodation.

After over 20 years in open storage the last survivor of the 4-SUB units, 4732, has the chance to move to secure undercover storage in the south of England. This train, like all of its classmates, served the people of London, Surrey and Middlesex for over 40 years; not only bringing them home from work on the daily commute but also various other activities, such as shopping trips, football matches and family days out. Now it is our turn to bring this old lady home.
With the closure of the Electric Railway Museum in Coventry 4732 was in danger of becoming not only homeless but without any future and there was a real risk that the unit would have to be dispossed of for scrap. Thankfully a team of experienced and dedicated railway preservationists have established a project to both secure the unit a new home and a longer term plan to see her restored to former glory. Months of planning and negotiations have brought the project to the point where the movement from Coventry is only weeks away and the next chapter in the story of 4732 can begin.
The project needs your help. There is just one issue that needs to be resolved, closing the final funding gap in the cost of transporting all four coaches out of Coventry and to its new home. Can you help this old lady get safely home?
