Story

Sarah Vincent is cycling 500 miles, solo and unsupported, from Normandy to Arnhem, to raise funds to take our WW2 Veterans back to the places that are special to them for the 75th Anniversaries of D Day and Market Garden in 2019.

The journey will start in Ouistreham,, Normandy on the 11th September 2018 and will reach the bridge at Arnhem on the 23rd September 2018. Sarah will be completely unsupported on this journey and plans to cycle around 50 miles a day, where possible following the 1944 Liberation Route. She will be camping each night and personally funding the entire trip. This has to our knowledge never been completed before.

It costs Project 71 around £1000 to take each gentleman away and we provide everything from door to door transport and hotels to medical staff, food and entertainment. We can't do this without the public’s support. Please sponsor Sarah and help her reach her goal.

Each £1000 she raises will pay for one veteran, and the aim of this ride is to raise £4000 to pay for four gentlemen to go.
