Story
The Moving on Project is a charity based in Fareham that provides free counselling services to youngsters from the age of 11. This charity goes a long way to helping kids through some of the most challenging and difficult situations that they could possibly be faced with. The aim of this event is to raise £1000 which will be used to bring additional counselors in to the organisation in a bid to speed up the time in which these kids are seen and therefore helping to solve their issues much sooner. In addition to the Moving on Project, the second charity this event will be funding is a national name that deals with mental health. The Venue that this event will take place at is an official sponsor of this charity and we will post a separate link to fund this. The ultimate goal here is to raise a minimum of £2000 to support those at a very young age and those who are suffering from mental health problems as adults. I'm sure in reading this, most of you will be thinking of someone you know or someone you have lost that were affected by poor mental health in some way. I know that I think of these people and as such, I'll be playing music with no sleep for 50 hours to encourage people to donate online, to come to the Lord John Russell on Albert Road and throw some hard earned cash in a bucket for what are certainly two worthwhile and great charities. The event will take place from Thursday 01/11/18 at 7pm and will carry on through until 9pm on Saturday 03/11/18.
