Story
Fry Club Women will be taking on the challenge of playing five consecutive hours of 5‑a‑side football to raise money for Fry’s Comets, our pan‑disability team, and to support the women’s team ahead of the 2026/27 season.
This year’s fundraiser holds special meaning. In line with the wishes of Keira’s family, the funds raised will be split 50/50 between the women’s team and Fry’s Comets in memory of Keira.
Keira was a cherished member of Fry’s Comets. Her kindness, energy, and love for the game touched everyone around her. The money raised will help support the club she loved, keeping her spirit alive with every bit of football played and with every child who joins the team.
Fry’s Comets provide a safe, welcoming space for disabled children aged 5–11 to begin their football journey. They offer an inclusive environment where children can learn and grow, build friendships, and develop confidence both on and off the pitch.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us honour Keira’s memory and continue the work we all believe in — making football a place for everyone.
The other half of the money raised will go to our women’s section, where numbers continue to grow across our 3 teams, (11-a-side, casuals and over 35s). The money will be used for new equipment and for pitch hire in the winter months so that training can continue even when the weather isn’t on our side 💙
