Story
5 Marathons in 5 days for Jo.
My mum has been battling cancer since diagnosis in July 2021. She has stage 3c rare form of ovarian cancer called clear cell Adenocarcinoma.
She has undergone two major surgeries, full hysterectomy laparoscopic BSO and omentectomy to remove as much cancer possible and prevent reoccurrence.
Unfortunately during recovery from the surgeries the agressive cancer has spread to her fallopian tubes, cervix, bowel, omentum, peritonium, pelvis, around the liver and also in her lower back lymph nodes.
She has had extensive chemotherapy that has lasted in total of 20 months. She is currently on her 3rd line of treatment as previous treatments have failed. As you can imagine your body cannot with stand this for an infinite time so we are praying that her body doesnt become chemo resistant.
Through a collective help of cancer specialists, other cancer patients and doing her own research she is now tryong to do as much as she possibly can to keep this awful disease at bay. She is now going to private consultations to get additional medication not available through the NHS, completed changed her diet to eat only the best for her body and also taking a vast amount of supplements to help aid in keeping the cancer away.
Now we get to the bit where you could all help, as you can imagine all of the above does not come cheap, and also through in the amount of time having off work unpaid to have chemotherapy and recover from it, numerous consultations and scans.
There is also alot more treatments available such as Intravenous Vit C injections, Mistletoe injections, Infrared saunas and lots more from private clinics outside of the UK which we could look at if the next series of treatment doesnt work.
Any donations would mean the world to my mum and my family no matter how small. Thank you for reading the story about my mum and I hope we can help raise her some money in the terrible times!
