We are running the Inflatable 5k in Newark on the 9th Septemper and have had a last minute thought to try raise some money for a local charity, The Ark.

The Ark exists for the sole purpose of providing an adoption service for unwanted animals and, if necessary, a place for them to spend the rest of their days in safety and comfort. The running costs are around £8,000 a month and the vets’ fees average around £3,000 a month so the kindness and generosity of the local community is relied on to help run the shelter.

The Ark work so hard every day to give the homeless animals some quality of life and hopefully one day, their forever home. The sadness you feel looking into cages is nothing compared to how it must feel looking out.
