I've raised £500 to help Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital with GLOW in the park Manchester

Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital is extremely close to my familys heart, it deserves more support than I alone could ever give it, the staff at this hospital are the best in the world and the research they carry out is life saving. If I could give them the world I would because they saved mine.
My baby girl was just 15 weeks old when she was diagnosed with a tumour on her left kidney, she was admitted to Ward 84 at Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital and wow what a ward! As a parent who's child has just been given this awful diagnosis you walk around with your head in bits and wonder how the staff can even do this job, how they come to work every day to look after babies, children and young people who have this awful disease inside of them. It must be so sad, but let me tell you, Ward 84 is not sad. Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital is not sad.
In the 9 days as an inpatient it became our second home. It's like they've thought of everything, just the little things like having a fresh fruit stall in the entrance made us feel welcome. It's a community, it has a homely feel and despite everyone's troubles, worries and even heart ache, it's a place where you feel safe, your baby is in safe hands and that is so reassuring to feel that. We are so lucky to have this gem on our doorstep, the doctors here are world class at what they do, whether its a specialist consultant or a surgeon who operates on babies smaller than your hand, you have never know trust like it until you give them your baby for surgery. The confidence they speak with got us through and to them we will forever be eternally grateful. Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital, it was an experience I never want to have again and although I hope that no child ever needs you, your amazing at what you do and anything I can do to help I will. This time me and a few friends are participating in Manchesters 5k Glow in the park on Saturday 27th October and want sponsers to help us reach our £500 target. Thanks xxx
