Story
5th Grimsby Scout Group have secured a new site for their Scout hut and now need help and funds to make our vision come into fruition. Scouting has an important role in actively engaging and supporting young people from six years to 18 years, developing their life and leadership skills. We are very lucky to have experienced and committed leaders in all sections, who volunteer and give up many hours of their time to plan and provide a varied, challenging and fun programme for the young people. We have been based in the current Scout hut, located just off the Scartho Fork roundabout, since 1975 and now seek a new location to house our 65 young members along with other local groups who use the building. Scouting has always played a large part in the community in Scartho and is open to all children, so it would be a shame to lose that. This relocation gives us the chance to build a new community centre, not just for the Scouts.
