Story

Civilians in Gaza are in the worst crisis to date. More than 60% are unable to get paid work, and for the first time ever in Gaza there are beggars on the streets as civilians find it increasingly difficult to support one another with the little they have. Those who are fit enough to go to farms in the early morning make £1.50 for every 2 hours of labour, which is not enough to buy a chicken. The price of food and other urgent amenities continue to climb as paid work becomes more difficult to find. The situation in Gaza is even more aggravated by time pressures, with the UN predicting that by 2020 Gaza will be uninhabitable. That's only 6 months away.

My contacts in Gaza have made a list of 60 of the most needy families. They are approached by hundreds. Among the most desperate cases, people are at a financial loss following the death of family members, with orphaned children who need to be fostered, while many others have severe injuries and disabilities and require constant care and aid.

I beg you not to give up on the oppressed in Gaza. It will cost £60 to sponsor one desperate family this Ramadan. If you are able to sponsor one family (or two) or give whatever you can afford, please donate below.

Zakat, Sadeqah, Lillah, Fitrana, please state.

100% of your donations will be received by the families.

If you would like to know more about sponsoring a family, please contact myself, Salma Siddiqui (Haddad) on 07947099379.

There is also the option to donate beyond Ramadan.

May Allah reward you Jannatul Firdaus.
You do not lose from your wealth when you spend in Charity.
