Story
The 61 F.C. (Luton) is a football club that has been based in Luton, Bedfordshire, England for the past 56 years. The club is affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Football Association and currently has 3 amateur teams. The club was formed in 1961 and was named after the year of its foundation.
Our club is the only purposely run amateur football club in Luton, Beds, and is solely run by volunteers who dedicate a lot of time to continue to provide grassroots football to local amateur football players.
On the 17th October 2017, our clubhouse located on Kingsway Recreation Ground, Beverley Rd, Luton, was the victim of an arson attack.
Although the blaze was brought under control before it could completely rip through the building there has been extensive damage caused to the roofing (internal and external) as well as much of the internal electrical supply which it is estimated to cost us thousands of pounds to repair to the required standards, this is to be put quite simply - money we do not have.
We are appealing for donations of any amount to help reach our target to fund the urgent repairs needed.
