The Group Leaders and Trustees of Thorne 62nd Scout Organisation are undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 1st July 2023 to raise funds to provide new activity equipment for the members in the way of camping, archery etc.

Thorne 62nd Scout Group are a not-for-profit organisation helping to support children between 5 and 14 develop cultural, social, physical and emotional skills through Scouting.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24 mile hike over Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736,) and Ingleborough (723m). The aim is to complete the hike in less than 12 hours.
