Somewhere to Chill

Overheard one lunchtime ......

If only we had a place to chill, somewhere to eat my lunch and finish my maths homework.

My answer to your wishes is YES, you will! If only we can raise enough funds to complete our fantastic new build Annexe at Wellspring, Wirksworth, designed with a shiny, spotless kitchen, opening to a light and airy 'Drop-in Cafe', a perfectly sized meeting room with all the usual accessible facilities you'd expect. We want to create a Community space so vital to our small vibrant town. We are passionate about giving this hard working local community what it deserves, with it's Arts Festival and Well dressing, carnival weekend, community theatre productions, music events, Book fair, Open Gardens, Climate Aware groups and so much more.

This small but perfectly formed new build will be a shared space, a meeting place, a touching base for Mum's with toddlers, kids with uniforms, teens with 'nowhere' to hang out! sewers with machines, artists with displays, bakers with cakes, gardeners with..... it's endless. A place for coffee, cooking meals for those who can't afford to, don't know how to. Groups with lots to say, or nothing to say! groups that sing, read, make music, drama, quiz, debate, discuss and worship.

Our vision is to complete a beautiful purpose built, modern, sustainable, clean environment for all to enjoy, a welcoming, safe space especially for those who need a bit of love and care, (and let's face it, we could all do with a bit of that right now) and we are almost there. We have already started the building work; we've even buried a Time Capsule Wellspring Wirksworth.

So now we will finish it, that is, with your help, we will. Thank you.
