7th Elland Scout Group are extremely proud that two members of the Troop are attending the 13th Haarlem Jamborette in the summer of 2019. Hannah and Oliver are both 12 years old and are part of a contingent travelling from West Yorkshire to The Netherlands. This will be a fantastic opportunity for them to share their experiences and ideas with Scouts from a range of different cultures and backgrounds.

The Jamborette takes place every four years and there are expected to be around 4000 Scouts from over 20 different countries camping alongside each other. The participants will be undertaking a variety of challenges, taking part in some amazing activities and having incredible new adventures. They will also experience a range of different cultures, values and beliefs and hope to form new friendships that will be shared by Scouts from around the world.

Over the next year we will be holding a range of fundraising events such as a quiz, tuck shop, beetle drive, sponsored events and raffles to name but a few.

The Scout Group have set up this page to make it easier for friends, family and local businesses to help us raise some of the £1100 we need to enable our Scouts to attend this incredible event.
