Mum is an octogenarian. She just got engaged at the age of 79, she loves the life she lives, is the matriarch of our family and the glue that kept us all together.

Youth has no age,’ said Pablo Picasso, and he should have known. The artist produced 140 canvases in his late 80s. Marina was born on 9 March 1939. She is a mum, grandmother and great mother and continues to devote her life to supporting others in the UK and abroad.

One of her grandchildren wrote;

Our mum is the pillar of her community and a dedicated philanthropist who regularly provides for those less fortunate than herself. She never waivers and there is no price that can be put upon the legacy she has established. This is not a fund for her but for what she stands for.....The gift of love for humankind.

The colour theme is shades of Purple with a touch of gold in representation of my mum's achievements and what she stands for as head of the family. Purple is associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.
