Trailer stolen from 8th Alton Scout Group.

8th Alton Scout group is located in Alton Hampshire. We provide fun and adventure to Scouts aged 6 to 18 years old. The primary focus of our Scouting experience is to take our Scouts camping.

In order to transport our equipment to the camp sites we use a trailer. It fits everything, from tents to cooking equipments to fun activities.

Sadly this trailer was taken from the grounds of the Scout Group overnight on Monday 23rd April 2018. Right before our main camping season starts.

The trailer was secured with a wheel clamp and blocked in with minibus but still someone managed to take it.

We are insured, however, we have to cover the £500 excess. This means that money we normally use to run activities for our Scouts will have to be diverted to this, so that we can still run our summer camps.

All of our leaders are volunteers, we run not for profit and try and keep our subs as low as possible to ensure that Scouting is accessible to all. This criminal act will have a much wider impact than they will even know.

We are still recovering financially from the break in to the mini bus and the necessary build of our extension following the loss of our council owned compound. Our only money source comes from fund-raising and the Scouts subs.
