Story

We’re pleased to share that Ninety One will once again be participating in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride, taking place on 14th September — and we’d love for you to be part of it.

This is a 55-mile cycle from the hustle of London to the breeze of Brighton seafront — a route that takes you through villages, countryside, and the occasional hill that suddenly seems steeper than you expected. It’s a challenge, yes, but an achievable one.

What makes this more than just a cycle ride is the reason we’re doing it.

Why We’re Riding

Ninety One has a long-standing relationship with the JL Zwane Centre in Gugulethu, Cape Town, through the Rainbow Education programme. For more than 20 years, this centre has been doing vital work to support learners in the community — from after-school maths support to coding workshops, providing meals, and more.

Our focus has been on supporting learners in Grades 4–7, helping build strong academic foundations and confidence. We’ve seen the impact firsthand.

This year, the funds we raise through the cycle ride will contribute to a new goal: the creation of a multi-purpose sports field at the centre. It will provide a safe, active space for learners — somewhere they can be children, stay physically active, and build the confidence and team skills that sport can uniquely offer.
