Amman Valley Swimming Pool Distance Swimming Experience.

Amman Valley Swimming Club has been coaching and training youngsters from the Surrounding villages for over 40+ years. The ethos of the club is one that provides a safe and fun environment where youngsters are coached and supported to reach their full potential.

We train 5 times a week in a 25m pool at Amman Valley Leisure Centre and this venue has been our home from the start. Unfortunetly there isnt a 50 m in Carmarthenshire where we can train and develop the skills of our young swimmers. And with many competitions taking place in venues with pools of this size, our swimmers are at a disadvantage, as swimming and training in a 25m pool is significantly different to swimming and training in 50m pool.

This is why we are fundraising to pay for lane hire in Swansea National Pool. This facility is the closest to our club that has a 50 m pool. Its also one of the many 50 m pools where we as a club regally compete through the year.

With the ability to train and experience swimming regularly at this distance, will allow our swimmers to develop their distance swimming techniques and give them the best opportunity to progress and reach their full potential within the sport of swimming. This training experience will also help us as club volunteers to fulfil the club's ethos to provide the swimmers with all the available tools and experiences to reach their full potential.

The total for the years monthly hire is £ 2520, by helping us reach £500 will allow us to train in the pool for a few months, and that would be an amazing start for our swimmers!
