I've raised £1000 to Help Abigail Normington get to Japan

My daughter Abigail is a very bright girl who is suffering with her mental health and this has been made significantly worse by recent events.
She wants to go to college to study languages as there is a course at University involving a trip to Japan, a country she has always wanted to visit. Sadly, due to lack of in take all the colleges she applied to have dropped French and the only college who may facilitate this have stopped the bus that runs to our village, so she is now having to decide what to do with her future.
This week, she has complained about 'wavy' vision in her right eye and after a trip to see her optician she was sent to A&E immediately due to concerns of a retinal tear. Sadly, it was worse than we feared and her retina has detached. It has done so rapidly and thus has ripped through her macular meaning that surgery may not help save her vision. At the moment, we are awaiting a phone call from the local hospital as to wether or not this surgery will even go ahead, and if it does, when this will be.
She is in the middle of her GCSEs and this may cause interruptions to her sitting one or several of her exams. This has caused her further heartbreak at the thought of pursuing what she wants to do in life. She is scared of having surgery and obviously is now having to face the fear of losing sight it one eye.
I wanted to do something to lift her spirits as she is quite rightly very upset. The fear of going blind is not something any 16 year old tackling GCSEs should be worrying about. I know her dream is to go to Japan. We don't know how or when this can happen, but I want to try for her. I would give anything to turn the clock back and get her seen sooner, but I can't and I don't want to fail her any more than I have already. If I can do anything else for her, I'm going to damn well try.
Anything you give would be so gratefully appreciated and will go straight to a savings account for Abigail for a holiday to Japan as and when she can go.
