Story

Here we go again, Adam’s Army (Supported by Additional Powers) is launching another challenge to raise money for the Lancaster and Morecambe Deaf Children’s Society.

This is a great Charity in the local area to offer advise and support to children with hearing impairments and their families by offering a network of families with lived experience and links to specialist services.

Adam’s Army have already completed numerous challenges raising thousands for the various charities that supported our family in the last 7 years including a 26 mile walk along Lancaster canal, a 56 mile bike ride from Lancaster RLI to Manchester Children's Hospital and various other challenges that have pushed all the participants out of their comfort zones.

2024 is the year where we will attempt to swim continuously for 12 hours. With the support of 3-1-5 Health Club, who have allowed us the use of two lanes to ensure that we will always have a member of our fundraising team in the water and swimming between the hours of 8am and 8pm on Sunday 11th August.

When the event is complete, we will add up all the miles swam to work out the combined distance!!!

As always, we would be so grateful for any support that anyone can provide, whether in the form of sponsorship, supporting the swimmers on the day or spreading the word and drumming up support for the team!!!!
