I'm raising £15000 to help support Adonis have the alternative treatments & equipment needed for him to develop as best as he can.

Adonis is a premature baby born early at 27 weeks.
He started his journey in the neonatal unit at Queens Medical Hospital. The first 5 weeks of his life he was thriving. He was growing and developing beautifully. Then, out of nowhere, Adonis caught an infection called NEC (necrotizing enterohcohlietis) which is a severe life threatening intestinal disease. He was rushed to theatre 3 times within a 72 hour period. From this intense surgery two thirds of his small intestines had died resulting in complete removal. At this point, Adonis was fighting for his life. All of his blood rushed to his heart depriving his brain from oxygen leaving him with severe brain damage.
Now, as a result, Adonis’s digestive system is unable to absorb any food that is consumed for itself. He is totally dependent on PN (parenteral nutrition) a form of nutrients that are drip fed straight to his heart and pumped around his body rather than going through the stomach.
There are many complications that Adonis now has to live with. He has dystonia, suffers from seizures, chronic lung disease, metabolic bone disease, liver damage, and signs of cerebral palsy. Adonis was on surgical ward D35 in Queen’s Medical Centre for 8 months where he’s had a total of 7 operations altogether during his time there.
He was finally discharged on the 29th Feb 2024 where he is now at home with his family.
We are raising money for Adonis to support the family in providing specialised equipment and treatments, so he can continue to thrive and be given the best opportunities possible.
Thank you for all your help x
