The long story short is that the people of Kenya need us ! They are a wonderful, loving, intelligent and resilient people to name but a few of their qualities. Last year when I visited, I saw the poverty and challenges they face, and felt like God was calling me to do something about it. I tried and fail to do it through charities, so I personally engaged and sponsored some people, as well as through giving lectures at one of the universities, However, I still felt I needed to do more, and it is one Sunday morning at my local Church that I met pastor Richard Larcombe - who was introducing his work in Kenya to our community and subsequently invited me to be part of the Radiant team. RADIANT programme includes:

1 - Mobile Evangelism Crusade: The “gospel truck” was so fruitful in Kisii in February 2024, that we have decided to take the same approach this August in Homa Bay. We will be travelling to the markets to preach the Gospel and heal the sick. We have a large team, with some well known Kenyan musicians. We will be activating believers and working with the church on discipleship and follow-up.

2 - Marketplace Leadership Event: we will be gathering leaders from government, business, education and media. The purpose is to equip and encourage Kingdom-minded transformational leadership. We are delighted that Richard's brother-in-law, Paul Williams, CEO of the Bible Society, has agreed to speak. Paul is one of the World’s leading thinkers these topics.

3 - Small Business Workshop Day: the team will be helping folks to start and grow their small business. This is a huge need out in Homa Bay. Unemployment is high, and yet there are great opportunities for hard working and enterprising people. We ran a day like this in Nairobi, and it was a huge success. Twice as many showed up as planned and three quarters were women.

4 - Multi-Church Revival Rally: this will serve as the kick-off event for the 3-year Initiative. Richard will be sharing the stage with sister Sarah Williams. She is a phenomenal speaker and expert in church and revival history. We are expectant that the Lord is going to spark a movement of people committed to prayer, evangelism and revival in this beautiful part of Kenya.
