I've raised £5000 to provide 70 kids in a village near Dakar with a plate of food at least twice a week and refurbish a kitchen to prepare healthier meals.

Story

Africa Team is a voluntary organisation supporting impoverished women and children in Senegal. They build new schools, refurbish hospitals and provide resources.

Now they’re hoping to distribute hot meals to children in a rural community near Dakar and to refurbish a local kitchen so that they have more sanitary conditions to cook in. But they need your help.

Africa Team is run entirely by a small team of volunteers and 100% of their funding goes directly to their beneficiaries. So I am supporting them by crowdfunding. Let’s all help this Senegalese community access essential education and healthcare!

Your donation will go a long way. Africa Team’s small yet determined crew of about 10 active volunteers have already made an enormous difference to the local communities since the organisation launched in 2014. They’ve renovated 14 classrooms and constructed four new classrooms across schools in West Senegal. They have bought hundreds of tables and benches for local schools and support hundreds of their pupils each year.

Now they’re aiming to fundraise £5,000 to provide 70 kids in a village near Dakar with a plate of food at least twice a week. The money would also help refurbish a kitchen to prepare meals in more sanitary conditions.

The people in this community are some of the kindest, most positive people you’ll ever meet. But without financial support, parents there struggle to provide for their children and send them to school with the resources they need.

Your donation will help hugely, doing directly to deprived children for them to enjoy a free, hot meal prepared safely in sanitary conditions.
