At the age of 3, Alfie began attending a Martial Arts class once a week with the Alan Price Academy. Alfie had struggled terribly with severe eczema as a todddler and his self esteem was low; we were worried about how this may effect him starting school. My cousin's son had been doing extremely well with Alan Price academy so we asked if Alfie could try the sport despite not quite being 4 (the usual age for Alan Price academy to take on students).
We were overwhelmed at how well Alfie took to the sport; within the three years he has been training he has passed 8 belt gradings with his ninth being next week (fingers crossed!), and gained a first in his first WUMA welsh open competition and a second in his second competition. He has now been chosen to compete in the World Martial Arts Games in Geneva in April 2017!
We are incredibly proud and can't wait to see him compete at a world level.

Alfie is such a conscientious boy and he has asked if he can do some fund raising to help towards the cost of Geneva so he will be completing a walk up Moel Fammau in the coming weeks. What a special boy we have! Please support him if you can!
