The Challenge: In March 2024, without any experience of the mountains, I travelled to the Himalaya and trekked to Annapurna Basecamp which stands at 4130m. Having sparked a love for Nepal and its mountains, in April this year I am heading back to Nepal to trek to Everest Basecamp, train with a record-breaking mountaineering team and subsequently climb Lobuche East peak, which stands at 6119m. 🏔️🥾

The Background: In 2019, I underwent surgery and 5 weeks chemo-radiotherapy following a cancer diagnosis. Five years post-treatment, after regular check ups by an amazing medical team at Cheltenham Hospital, I was given the all clear last February! 🥳 💪🙂
