MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES but we're hoping you can help us make everything grow here in Altrincham this year!

A bit of background: Altrincham In Bloom is a project run entirely by volunteers who are keen not only to make our town green and colourful but also to contribute to the social, economic and environmental health of our community. Since volunteers started coordinating the project in 2014, the project has won a Gold Award at North West In Bloom every year.

This year will be very special because it offers Altrincham a unique opportunity to put itself on the map as a destination town. Altrincham In Bloom has the very great honour of representing the North West in the Large Towns category at the UK Britain In Bloom finals!

We are always working all year round but the next six months is crucial and that's where we need your help. We need funds to further develop existing projects and to create new ones - all designed to show the country how amazing we are!

We are judged not only on Horticultural Excellence but on Environmental Responsibility and Community Participation. Our work encompasses projects which address all of these issues and we work seek to include Arts and Heritage wherever possible.

Our project and team continue to expand as we transform locations in and around the town, turning them from neglected spaces into attractive and functional green places which people can enjoy. Current projects include the Four Seasons Walkway, Shaw's Green 'Food For Thought', the award-winning Town Centre Planter Scheme and the new 'Green Gateway' project. However, we have much more planned and are typically aiming high. Our ambitions can only be achieved if we have the necessary funding though, so please contribute whatever you can or consider running a fundraising activity on our behalf with your friends, family or colleagues. Every penny received will be put to very good use, nothing wasted so please support us this year!
