I've raised £2600 to Support Ameka in representing Team GB in U-11 pentathlon, not only for European Championships in Germany, but also the World Championships!

It's always exciting when someone in your community achieves something extraordinary. Doubly so when it's a child. Ameka is only 9 years old, but having taken up running in October 2022, she has already won silver in both the county and national modern pentathlon competitions. She then went on and took 8th place at the British Championships in April. She has earned her place in the Under-11 category at both the European and World Championships in Germany and Bath respectively. What a remarkable achievement!
Sport is inspirational, healthy, and community building, but it is also very expensive, especially at the international level. With entry fees, Team GB kit, flights, equipment transport, accommodation, laser gun and running spikes, it all adds up quickly. Ameka and her mum Kirsteen are two of the most selfless people I've ever met, volunteering countless hours to charity work.
Knowing the scale of the financial challenge posed to this wonderful family in order to pursue representation of the UK, I wanted to help in whatever way I could so that Ameka can focus on her impressive training and follow this well earned success as far as it can go!
