I leave on the 25th October to go travelling. During this time from mid November to mid December I will be volunteering at Animal Aid Unlimited which is the only facility in Udaipur, India dedicated to animal welfare.

£80 has been raised so far and there is a few weeks left for you to help us reach the £200 goal.

Since being set up in 2002, over 45,000 wounded and ill street animals have been rescued including dogs, donkeys, monkeys, cows and birds. Between 10 and 15 animals are rescued off the streets every day and around 400 animals are being looked after at the shelter at any given time. The facility which acts as a rescue center, hospital and sanctuary relies on its team of dedicated staff and volunteers, as well as donations from the public to ensure that the animals can be cared for every day.

Animal aid requires Rs 700 000 Rs (£8022) a month to continue treating street animals like Kalu (pictured) in Udaipur so any support would be greatly appreciated to reach this sum.

100% of the money donated will go to Animal Aid Unlimited and will be used to buy essential supplies for the animals when I am in the city. These will include:
- Standard food to provide nutrients to the animals that eating well
- Special food/treats to encourage scared animals to eat
- Blankets to keep resident animals comfortable and warm during winters and to keep animals calm during rescues. A "single" size blanket is around Rs 150 (£1.75)
-Towels for dogs tubs and bedding
- Brushes to clean the animals
-Stainless steel food bowls
-Tubs for bathing animals when its hot and medicated baths. These are Rs 240 (£2.90)
- Chew toys
-Medicines
-Bandages/Dressings

All donations that are not received in time to spend on items the animals require while I am at the facility will be donated to Animal Aid via their website.
