I've raised £16680 to fund treatment to enable my friend Anna Grace Taylor to have the best chance of decreasing her pain and improving her mobility.

I am setting this page up to raise money for my dear friend and totally beautiful human being, Anna Grace Taylor. Anna was born with Cerebral Palsy which affects her legs.
Although the CP has caused many physical challenges throughout her life, she is a feisty, heart centred, funny and determined woman. Her empathy for children who also face physical struggles, have resulted in Anna's single-handedly raising just over £24,000 since 2020 for three different charities.
Recently, whilst we were out in the sunshine visiting a National Trust garden, I could see she was in considerable pain and couldn’t get comfortable. I later told a friend:
Over the last eighteen months there has been a deterioration in Anna’s mobility and flexibility because of the tightening of her muscles and she is in pain all of the time.
Although she stays largely positive and hopeful, she told me that for the first time ever, she fears she will lose the mobility she does have, and be in even more pain. Understandably, she's concerned about the huge consequences that will have on her independence and quality of life.
The only time Anna feels any relief is when she has acupuncture, specialist neuro-physiotherapy or massage. But because of the cost of the treatments and the taxis to get there, she is only accessing these occasionally.
To make a difference Anna needs to have these life, and mobility enhancing treatments every week. So, it’s time to turn the tables and raise money for her.
A consultant doctor suggested just last week that regular massage and specialist physio is what she needs and that things CAN improve.
For Anna to have treatments for two years (individual costs listed at the end of this page) we need to raise £16,680.
Her Mum Carol gave birth to twins 11 weeks prematurely. Anna weighed just 2lbs 10oz. and her twin sister Karen even less. It was a very worrying time for Carol and their Dad, Derek but against all the odds they came home after 3 months in hospital.
Anna’s parents began to notice that she wasn’t meeting the same physical markers as Karen, and at eighteen months, after a series of hospital visits Anna was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy affecting her legs.
Anna has had to learn to walk three times in her life: the first time at 6 years old and then twice more as a teenager following major surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
After that last operation, her immune system crashed and she spent the next decade unable to go to school or work as she was very ill and in pain with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) At her worst, having a shower would utterly exhaust her and she was barely able to walk.
This is when I met Anna.
M.E. had ravaged her nervous system as well as stolen so much from her teenage years and I was called in to join a few complementary therapists who were steadily helping Anna heal. It wasn’t long before this kind, trusting, beautiful soul found a place in my heart and has been there ever since.
Her general health much improved and eventually she was able to live independently. However, she uses crutches and a wheelchair to move and it takes her around four times more energy than the average person to walk, (and likely more right now).
Anna was always drawn to help others and built a successful business as an Angel Therapist, intuitive and author.
For the last 14 years her skills have enabled her to coach, support and inspire thousands of people to create their own transformation. Her clients say they feel inspired and reassured after being with her.
In 2021, for one of her fundraisers, she walked 5K in a day and was the fittest she’d ever been in her adult life. Now just three years later, she is dealing with daily, chronic pain in her legs and back and is finding walking for more than a few minutes increasingly challenging.
She told me
....even getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom in the morning can be hard, it's the the most pain I've been in for 20 years.
It's exhausting for her, and so very hard for her family and friends to witness.
What's caused the dramatic decrease in her mobility and flexibility in the last 18 months is hard for the doctors to know, but long covid and hormonal changes will have had an impact.
Whilst Anna had regular physio when she was young, there isn't any long-term support given to adults with Cerebral Palsy on the NHS.
This would enable Anna to access two years of the treatments that will make such a difference to her.
⭐️ Acupuncture for 40 weeks a year (including travel) would be 40 x £84.00 = £3,360
⭐️ Neuro-physio once a month (including travel) would be 12 x £135.00 = £1,620
⭐️ Massage for 40 weeks a year (including travel) would be 40 x £84.00 = £3,360
Which for 2 years is a total of £16,680.
Anna is one of life's uplifters, people feel better just from spending time with her. So, as she seeks to continue to make a difference to other people's lives; will you join me in making a donation so that we can make a difference to hers?
Doesn't matter how small, every single pound builds to paying for another treatment and then another.
Thank you from the whole of my heart and I'll keep you posted here as to how we as TEAM ANNA get on x
