I am delighted to welcome you to another fabulous edition of Art In The Park 2024 and what a challenge it has been over the last twelve months to bring this festival back to you. The team has had to work harder than ever to bring this event to our community this year. We are living in uncertain times with local Councils and national Agencies suffering from restricted budgets, the squeeze on the available resources to put on events such as this cannot be underestimated.

Uncertainty. Seems to be a defining word of the times does it not? Whether it be the ongoing cost of living crisis, the growing impact of climate change, inflamed social tensions or the tragedy of war, uncertainty abounds and with it comes anxiety for what the future holds. So perhaps now, more than ever, we should appreciate the importance of coming together as a community and sharing in all the wonderful experiences we have planned for you. The Arts offer comfort to the troubled soul, so join us and take a break from the uncertainty to find some calm, joy and inspiration amongst our wonderfully talented artists, musicians and performers. Take time to soak it all in, find the perfect piece of art for a loved one, treat yourself to one of our wonderful food and drink stalls or escape the humdrum for a few minutes by taking in one of our amazing performances. However you choose to participate in our wonderful festival, I know you will leave refreshed and inspired. In fact, I am certain of it.
